Through this chronological biography of an abandoned child since the birth,
the author describes the picturesque events which he knew. The female kind
played a determining role there, starting with Germaine, his wife, an
exquisite partner full with kindness and beauty queen of the town of Lyon,
which supported Cleon untel the last moments of its life, then, two angels of
the paradise, Jeannet and Alice which took over in dramatic circumstances,
almost supernatural, at the time of the death of Germaine.

It is also the account of its course, its childhood on the Island of Thassos
and the town of Kavala, Athens, place of its academic works, and its life in
France after its emigration. It proves that an orphan, thanks to his tenacity
and his courage, can cross the levels and also live an enthralling adventure.
